description Los deportes electrónicos (E-Sports) han crecido exponencialmente en los últimos años, atrayendo a millones de jugadores en todo el mundo. Sin embargo, la prolongada exposición a pantallas y la falta de actividad física pueden conllevar riesgos para la salud. Este estudio analiza los factores de riesgo cardiovascular, metabólico y osteomuscular en ciberatletas colombianos, evaluando su composición corporal, niveles de actividad física y prevalencia de lesiones. Dentro de los hallazgos, se encontró que un porcentaje significativo de jugadores presenta sobrepeso, obesidad y alteraciones metabólicas, con un 50% de los ciberatletas profesionales registrando triglicéridos elevados y bajos niveles de colesterol HDL. Además, el 16.7% reportó lesiones, principalmente en muñeca y mano, reflejando la importancia de la ergonomía y la prevención. Los resultados subrayan la necesidad de estrategias preventivas, incluyendo programas de actividad física y educación en salud para mejorar el bienestar de los ciberatletas y reducir los riesgos asociados a esta disciplina emergente.

Sin embargo, la prolongada exposición a pantallas y la falta de actividad física pueden conllevar riesgos para la salud. Este estudio analiza los factores de riesgo cardiovascular, metabólico y osteomuscular en ciberatletas colombianos, evaluando su composición corporal, niveles de actividad física y prevalencia de lesiones. Dentro de los hallazgos, se encontró que un porcentaje significativo de jugadores presenta sobrepeso, obesidad y alteraciones metabólicas, con un 50% de los ciberatletas profesionales registrando triglicéridos elevados y bajos niveles de colesterol HDL. Además, el 16.7% reportó lesiones, principalmente en muñeca y mano, reflejando la importancia de la ergonomía y la prevención. This study analyzes cardiovascular, metabolic, and musculoskeletal risk factors in Colombian cyber athletes, evaluating their body composition, physical activity levels, and injury prevalence.
