Research highlights the cognitive, affective, and linguistic benefits of music, demonstrating its role in enhancing vocabulary acquisition, pronunciation, listening skills, and cultural literacy. Through rhythm and repetition, music facilitates memory retention and auditory processing, making language learning more effective. Studies indicate that strategies such as lyric-based vocabulary exercises, rhythm-based pronunciation drills, and song-based storytelling activities improve language retention and foster student engagement. Additionally, pedagogical approaches like Total Physical Response (TPR) and Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) support music’s role in multimodal and interactive learning. Music also increases motivation, reduces language anxiety, and promotes inclusive education by catering to diverse learning styles. Results consistently demonstrated that musical engagement enhances phonological awareness, improves vocabulary retention, and fosters greater motivation toward English learning. Studies by Moreno et al. (2009) and Gordon et al. (2015) notably reported significant improvements in listening discrimination and verbal memory among children exposed to music-based language instruction compared to traditional methods. The review concludes that music serves as a powerful pedagogical tool, supporting both cognitive and emotional aspects of language acquisition. Implications suggest that integrating structured musical activities into English curricula could optimize learning outcomes, and future research is recommended to investigate long-term effects and to identify which musical components are most effective for specific language skills.application/pdfAttribution 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Acceso abiertohttps://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Instrucción integrada con músicaEnseñanza del idioma inglés (ELT)Adquisición de una segunda lengua (SLA)Aprendizaje de idiomas y músicaAdquisición de vocabulario370.1175Music-integrated instructionEnglish language teaching (ELT)Second language acquisition (SLA)Language learning and musicVocabulary acquisitionExplorando el éxito: Una revisión de literatura sobre el impacto de la música en el aprendizaje del inglés en niñosSounding Out Success: A Literature Review on the Impact of Music on English Language Learning in ChildrenLicenciatura en Bilingüismo con Énfasis en la Enseñanza del InglésUniversidad El BosqueFacultad de EducaciónTesis/Trabajo de grado - Monografía - Pregradohttps://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1finfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesishttps://purl.org/coar/version/c_ab4af688f83e57aaAjmal, M., & Kumar, T.
