La metodología incluyó una búsqueda amplia en plataformas reconocidas como Scopus y Taylor & Francis, seguida de un riguroso proceso de selección y análisis de los artículos obtenidos. Se examinan los factores que influyen en las importaciones de cereales desde diversas perspectivas, con hallazgos que indican un efecto significativo de variables económicas, demográficas y políticas en diferentes contextos. Sin embargo, la magnitud y dirección de estos efectos varían según las características específicas de cada país, las políticas comerciales adoptadas y las dinámicas del mercado global. Se destaca la complejidad de estos factores, como el PIB, la tasa de cambio, los precios, la producción, los tratados comerciales y el crecimiento poblacional, resaltando la necesidad de un enfoque multidimensional para comprender las dinámicas del comercio internacional de cereales.
