El objetivo del proyecto fue la grabación y post-producción de tres canciones de La Severa Matacera. Al ser una banda con 20 años de carrera se trabajó en un contexto profesional y fue la primera experiencia como ingeniero a cargo y el primer paso hacia el mundo laboral. Se realizó una investigación digital y se entrevistaron expertos. También se recibió asesoría legal especializada en propiedad intelectual y se hicieron revisiones con profesores del énfasis, expertos externos y la banda para lograr un producto comercializable de alta calidad. Se grabó en Estudios Audiovisión con una frecuencia de muestreo de 48 KHz y una profundidad en bits de 24 bits usando los preamplificadores de la consola Neve con el siguiente concepto dado por la banda: “Remakes con una estructura más sencilla y que se adapte en duración a la distribución en plataformas digitales con un estilo pop radio-friendly conservando el espíritu vintage del reggae de los 70´s”. La mezcla se hizo in the box, es decir, en computador con procesamiento digital. Se entablaron relaciones con profesionales y se tendrán créditos cuando el producto sea comercializado, lo que será un gran aporte al portafolio profesional. Se adquirieron conocimientos tanto técnicos y de relacionamiento con clientes y colegas como en el marco legal y se llegó a la conclusión que las relaciones son más importantes que las habilidades y que tener conocimientos de propiedad intelectual es vital para generar ingresos en esta industria. |

Working with a band that has a 20 years career there was a professional working environment and was the first experience as engineer at charge and the first step of getting into professional life. Online research was made consulting books and information from experts, also there was Youtube material consulted and some experts were interviewed. There was legal advice specialized on intellectual property and revisions made by professors, outside experts and the band to achieve a high quality marketable product. Energía Positiva, Rocas, and Tu Semilla were recorded digitally with a sampling rate of 48 KHz and a bit depth of 24 bits using the preamplifiers of the Rupert Neve console of Estudios Audiovisión, taking into account the concept given by the band: “Remakes with a simpler structure that adapts in duration to the distribution on digital platforms with a pop radio-friendly style keeping the vintage spirit of 70’s reggae”. Mixing was made in the box, meaning in a computer with digital processing. Relationships with professionals were engaged and credits will be received when the product is marketed, which will be a great input for the professional portfolio.
