Ataco, municipio ubicado al sur del departamento del Tolima, cuenta con diversas manifestaciones culturales, la teatralidad hace parte de estas manifestaciones, esta investigación trata de indagar e identificar los elementos teatrales que se encuentran en el festival del retorno, fiesta que se celebra desde hace más de cien años y que se caracteriza porque cuenta la historia de Pericles, que representa al campesino Atacuno que recorre el río Saldaña para encontrar prosperidad. Curiosamente los demás personajes que intervienen en la representación tienen herencias indígenas que se encuentran en los mitos y leyendas de la población que se mixturo y transformó con los colonos españoles que llegaron al territorio. Como muchas de las fiestas que se desarrollan en el país se encuentran elementos teatrales que son los que se quieren destacar en este texto y así preservar la cultura de esta comunidad. Elementos como el vestuario, personajes, narrativa y puesta en escena. Por lo tanto, esta investigación invita al lector a acercarse a esta comunidad del Tolima poco conocida. |
