Summary: | This work shows the results obtained from the cooperation project between the Chamber of the Pulp, Paper and Cardboard Industry and El Bosque University. Here is showed the water footprint calculation for the companies of the Chamber, specifically for bond, kraft and soft paper types under the guidelines of the NTC ISO 14046 of 2017. To this end, the parameters required by the Standard were identified, organizing the development of this work in three phases. The first phase consisted in determining the requirements that the standard demands; the second phase in the creation of an inventory matrix and the corresponding collection of information (primary and secondary) and the last phase was the development of the water footprint calculation along with its proper interpretation and analysis through water impact indicators by type of paper. In this way, a calculation model was created, through which the water footprint was obtained for each company in terms of scarcity, consumption and degradation, and specifically, for each type of paper. Thus, a global result was generated for the Chamber, in which new strategies for the integral management of the water resource are dimensioned. |
