It usually develops on previously traumatized skin, especially on the lower extremities and trunk. It is associated with systemic diseases, and surgical treatments tend to worsen clinical signs and symptoms as a result of pathergy. There is no treatment of choice, but immunosuppressive therapy is accepted.
