En nuestro hospital, Santa Clara de Bogotá, representa el 0.5% de los ingresos a la Unidad de cuidados intensivos. Es una enfermedad importante, ya que constituye en la literatura mundial, una entidad con prevalencia y severidad que muestran tendencias al aumento; con marcada repercusión económica y en la calidad de vida de los pacientes, por los altos costos de tratamiento, disfunción familiar y ausentismo escolar. |
