For this reason, the following study sought to identify the factors that determine the quality of life of the amputee patient in functional activities and daily living. To carry out this objective, it was decided to carry out a rapid review of the literature that included articles between 2020 and 2023. 3 different databases were used (PubMed, SCOPUS and EMBASE), which yielded a total of 413 articles according to the search algorithms. These were exported to the Rayyan® tool in which duplicates were removed, and screened. Subsequently, by title and abstract and according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 25 articles were included, which were subjected to a quality evaluation using the CASP and MINCIR tools, allowing the final inclusion of 21 articles. As results, it was found that the quality of life in amputated patients is determined by different factors (etiology of amputation, anatomical location, sociodemographic characteristics of the patients, pain, use of prostheses and support devices, mobility, independence, physical health, health mental and body image). The scarcity of specific quality of life scales for amputees means that the present study is based mainly on the findings derived from generic quality of life scales and their dimensions. In conclusion, the factors that affect quality of life in amputee patients range from physical to psychosocial aspects and include specific attributes such as etiology of amputation, anatomical location, pain, use of prostheses and support devices, mobility, independence, body image, among others. This knowledge allows us to identify the determining factors in the therapeutic objectives that seek to improve the quality of life in these patientsapplication/pdfAttribution 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Acceso abiertohttps://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2AmputadosCalidad de vidaPrótesisDolor fantasmaMiembro fantasmaEscalas de calidad de vidaCuestionario de calidad de vidaCalidad de vida relacionada a saludAmputeesQuality of lifeProsthesisPhantom painPhantom limbQuality of life scalesQuality of life questionnaireHealth-related quality of lifeW100Factores que determinan la calidad de vida en pacientes amputados: revisión rápida de la literatura"Factors Determining Quality of Life in Amputee Patients: A Rapid Literature Review"MedicinaUniversidad El BosqueFacultad de MedicinaTesis/Trabajo de grado - Monografía - Pregradohttps://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1finfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesishttps://purl.org/coar/version/c_ab4af688f83e57aa1.
