description Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo. Se contó con 192 participantes (73 residentes, 72 psiquiatras y 47 subespecialistas), con edad promedio de 36,6 años (DE:10,8), 58,9% de sexo femenino, 99,5% cisgénero y 77,1 heterosexuales; los puntajes promedios obtenidos fueron: en conocimientos fue 7,7 de 9 puntos posibles, en actitudes 7,9 sobre 10 puntos posibles, en prácticas 4,7 sobre 7 puntos posible y el puntaje total 20,4 puntos sobre 26 puntos posibles. El 44,2% (n=85) de los participantes presenta sesgo de género en la atención a esta población. Las variables sexo, género, orientación sexual, creencias religiosas, año de graduación y la formación mostraron asociaciones con preguntas de las dimensiones de conocimientos, de actitudes y de prácticas (valor p>0,05).Aún persisten residentes de psiquiatría y psiquíatras con conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas poco favorables que generan sesgo de género en la atención de personas con identidad de género diversa. Es necesario fortalecer en los currículos y políticas hospitalarias el abordaje empático y respetuoso a esta población de acuerdo con sus necesidades de atención en salud.

Las variables sexo, género, orientación sexual, creencias religiosas, año de graduación y la formación mostraron asociaciones con preguntas de las dimensiones de conocimientos, de actitudes y de prácticas (valor p>0,05).Aún persisten residentes de psiquiatría y psiquíatras con conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas poco favorables que generan sesgo de género en la atención de personas con identidad de género diversa. An electronic survey was applied to psychiatry residents and psychiatrists in Colombia that included sociodemographic data, questions on knowledge, attitudes and practices. Univariate and bivariate analysis was performed using SPSS 29 software. There were 192 participants (73 residents, 72 psychiatrists and 47 subspecialists), with an average age of 36.6 years (SD: 10.8), 58.9% female, 99.5% cisgender and 77.1 heterosexual; the average scores obtained were: in knowledge 7.7 out of 9 possible points, in attitudes 7.9 out of 10 possible points, in practices 4.7 out of 7 possible points and the total score 20.4 points out of 26 possible points. 44.2% (n=85) of the participants present gender bias in the attention to this population. The variables sex, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, year of graduation and training showed associations with questions of the knowledge, attitude and practice dimensions (p-value>0.05).There persist psychiatry residents and psychiatrists with unfavorable knowledge, attitudes and practices that generate gender bias in the care of people with diverse gender identity.
