Especialista en Medicina del Dolor y Cuidados PaliativosEspecializaciónIntroduction Low back pain is a leading cause of disability, often associated with depression and anxiety. Given the limited relief provided by conservative treatments, pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) of the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) has emerged as an interventional option. However, its application via the intracanal route remains underexplored. Objective To synthesize information on the effectiveness and safety of PRF applied to the DRG in adults with low back pain via the intracanal route. Methodology A Scoping Review was conducted, including articles published between 2000 and 2025. The review focused on descriptive, analytical, quantitative, and mixed-methods studies addressing PRF in the DRG in adults with low back pain via the epidural route, without language restrictions. Databases and meta-search engines such as ScienceDirect, Scielo, EMBASE, Cochrane, BVS, and PubMed were used. The primary outcomes were effectiveness, measured by reductions in pain scales and improvements in functionality, and safety, evaluated through the prevalence of adverse events. Results Out of 1,676 studies, three articles met the inclusion criteria, encompassing 96 patients. These studies reported reductions in pain scores, including decreases of over 5.5 points on the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), and significant additional improvements in patient functionality. A very low prevalence of mild adverse events was observed. Conclusions PRF of the DRG via the epidural route is effective and safe for managing low back pain, achieving pain reduction and improved functionality for up to six months. However, further research is necessary to confirm its long-term efficacy and safety.application/pdfAttribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Acceso abiertohttps://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Radiofrecuencia PulsadaVía intracanalGanglio de la raíz dorsalDolor lumbar radicular.Pulsed RadiofrequencyIntracanal RouteDorsal Root GanglionRadicular Low Back Pain.WB 310Efectividad y seguridad de la radiofrecuencia pulsada vía intracanal en ganglio de la raíz dorsal en adultos con dolor lumbar radicularEffectiveness and safety of pulsed radiofrequency via intracanal route in the dorsal root ganglion in adults with radicular low back painEspecialización en Medicina del Dolor y Cuidados PaliativosUniversidad El BosqueFacultad de MedicinaTesis/Trabajo de grado - Monografía - Especializaciónhttps://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1finfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesishttps://purl.org/coar/version/c_ab4af688f83e57aa4.
