Servitunja S.A. E.S.P. es una empresa prestadora del servicio de recolección y manejo integral de residuos sólidos en la ciudad de Tunja. Además, ofrece la posibilidad de depositar los residuos de 44 municipios adicionales, de los cuales 42 pertenecen al departamento de Boyacá y 3 al departamento de Santander. El relleno sanitario de Pirgua se encuentra ubicado en la ciudad de Tunja, Boyacá, en el kilómetro 4 de la antigua vía a la vereda de Oicatá. Dicho relleno cuenta con una extensión de 11 hectáreas, destinadas a la disposición y manejo adecuado de residuos sólidos, en cumplimiento con la normatividad vigente en el país. Actualmente, el relleno sanitario opera bajo el método de trinchera, recibiendo aproximadamente 170 a 180 toneladas diarias de residuos provenientes de 45 municipios que utilizan este servicio. De la cantidad total de residuos que ingresan al relleno sanitario de Pirgua, 100 toneladas diarias corresponden a la ciudad de Tunja, mientras que las 80 toneladas restantes provienen de los demás municipios que disponen en este sitio. |
