La pandemia en 2020 fue un evento crítico que trajo diferentes desafíos y oportunidades a los entornos educativos. Las aulas de segundo idioma son algunos de los escenarios más impactados desde entonces, ya que los estudiantes han tenido la oportunidad de integrar los recursos tecnológicos disponibles en su proceso de aprendizaje. Uno de los aspectos del proceso de aprendizaje de una segunda lengua en el que la tecnología ha jugado un papel relevante es la pronunciación; la instrucción y retroalimentación al respecto son relevantes, sin embargo, tiende a faltar el tiempo para llevar a cabo el acompañamiento adecuado. Siguiendo lo anterior, este proyecto de investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar el efecto de implementar software de reconocimiento de voz (SRV) como una herramienta para apoyar la instrucción en la pronunciación del inglés como lengua extranjera (ILE). Los participantes de este estudio fueron un grupo de 10 estudiantes en el nivel básico de ILE del Centro de Idiomas de la Universidad El Bosque, Colombia. Este proyecto siguió un diseño de investigación acción cualitativa y los datos fueron recolectados por medio de diarios de los estudiantes, notas de campo y grabaciones de audio y video. Los resultados demostraron que la retroalimentación proporcionada por el SRV fue significativa para mejorar la pronunciación de los estudiantes, generar compromiso con su proceso de aprendizaje y promover su autonomía. |

Second language classrooms are some of the most impacted scenarios since then, as students have had the opportunity to integrate the available technological resources in their learning process. One of the aspects of the second language learning process in which technology has played a relevant role is pronunciation; instruction and feedback in this regard are relevant, however, there tends to be a lack of time to carry out the appropriate assistance. Based on the aforementioned, this research project aimed at analyzing the effect of implementing Speech Recognition Software (SRS) as a tool to support instruction in English as a foreign language (EFL) pronunciation. The participants of this study were a group of 10 basic EFL learners from the Language Center of Universidad El Bosque, Colombia. This project followed a qualitative action research design, and the data was collected by means of students’ journals, field notes, and audio and video recordings.
