Si bien hasta el día de hoy se ha avanzado mucho, la poca divulgación sobre el “como” ejerce sus efectos la Acupuntura ha favorecido una relación tortuosa con la medicina moderna. Este breve trabajo se concentra en contribuir a la divulgación de sus mecanismos de acción, específicamente describiendo lo que sabemos hoy en día sobre el punto de acupuntura, desde morfología estructural hasta su fisiología. Although much progress has been made to this day, the little disclosure about "how" Acupuncture exerts its effects has favored a tortuous relation with modern medicine.
