Description
Summary:This essay was written as an introduction to Von Nürnberg nach Haag, a book that assembled the contributions to the international conference organized in the city of Nuremberg to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Nuremberg Trial. The consequences of the historical events that followed the Second World War can no longer be limited to a reflection on the war, on the defeat of fascism, and on the projects conceived for a new world order after the war. More and more they should discuss the postwar world: the ruptures and continuities that resulted, the lessons learned and not learned, in the context of persistent change. It must not be forgotten that the memory of those years that set such a decisive landmark in the Twentieth Century, has now become history.
