(Texto tomado de la fuente)This dissertation proposes that, in the formative years of psychology as a scientific discipline, there was a perspective on the object and scope of psychology that has not been recognized in the history of the discipline: the historical-evolutionary perspective. From this perspective, the object of psychology was conceived as a processual and changing one and it was understood that, in order to be truly scientific, psychology should integrate both the phylogenetic bases of the species and the historical-cultural development. Because of this, psychology should integrate its physiological-experimental branch with its historical-cultural branch; make use of both comparative and measurement and control methods; and play a bridging role between the two great branches of the life sciences: natural sciences and sciences of the spirit. The thesis outlines the understanding of psychology of the most relevant authors who held this perspective in both Germany and the United States in the period 1850-1920, together with the most relevant debates of the time regarding the object of study of psychology and its place in the scene of sciences. It seeks to show the importance of this perspective and the validity of the authors' ideas who supported it, and to raise the problem of its disappearance in the historical and epistemological accounts of the discipline in the course of the twentieth century.MinCienciasDoctoradoDoctor en PsicologíaAprendizaje y Evolución del Comportamientoviii, 272 páginasapplication/pdfspaUniversidad Nacional de ColombiaBogotá - Ciencias Humanas - Doctorado en PsicologíaDepartamento de PsicologíaFacultad de Ciencias HumanasBogotá, ColombiaUniversidad Nacional de Colombia - Sede Bogotá100 - Filosofía y PsicologíaPSICOLOGIA-HISTORIAPsychology - historyEducación-PsicologíaHistoria de la psicologíaPerspectiva histórico-evolutivaAlemaniaEvoluciónHistory of psychologyHistoric-evolutinary perspectiveGermanyUnited States of AmericaEvolutionEstados UnidosLa perspectiva histórico-evolutiva en el inicio de la psicología como disciplina científicaThe historical-evolutionary perspective at the beginning of psychology as a scientific disciplineTrabajo de grado - Doctoradoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersionhttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_db06Texthttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TDAgutter, P., & Wheatley, D.
