Evaluación del acueducto regional Tacon-Mudarra y diseño de un sistema de tratamiento para sus aguas

En este trabajo se realizó una evaluación física y técnica de las unidades que hacen parte del acueducto Tacón-Mudarra, ubicado en la zona rural de Supia (Caldas). Asimismo, se determinó la calidad de las aguas crudas que surten el sistema de abastecimiento (Quebrada Rapado), comparando los resultados de las caracterizaciones realizadas, con los valores definidos en el decreto 475 de 1998. Se efectuaron los respectivos ensayos de tratabilidad sobre las aguas crudas, se eligió el sistema de tratamiento más eficiente teniendo muy presente la situación socioeconómica de la comunidad servida. Se realizó el diseño y dimensionamiento completo del sistema de tratamiento adoptado, con un análisis general de costos, además se plantearon las reformas requeridas al sistema de abastecimiento actual, para garantizar una operación adecuada y un buen desempeño del sistema de tratamiento a implantar. / Abstract: The development and implementation of effective and economically viable alternatives to treat storm-water drainage must become a priority in our country, with the aim to guarantee high-quality drinking water to all the population. The municipality of Supia, in the Department of Caldas, Colombia, counts on an adequate coverage both in the urban and in the rural zones; however, some of the existing water purvey system have completed their span of life and are not in optimal conditions, which according to present regulations, do not guarantee a service of quality, especially in the rural zones. This is the case of Tacón Mudarra aqueduct which services seven (7) villages. Taken into account the facts mentioned above, this study aims at evaluating the quality of water, the physical and technical conditions of the aqueduct and at designing the water treatment system. Consequently, the corresponding treatability trials of raw waters were carried out, the most effective alternative, taking into account the socioeconomic situation of the community, was selected; the design and complete sizing of the water treatment system to be adopted were made, as well as the general cost analysis. Besides, the reforms required by the present structure to guarantee an adequate performance of the water treatment system to be adopted were stated.
