Description
Summary:Soils from two different taxonomic geographical areas from Funza and Zabrinsky in the borders of the Bogotá Sabana were used to study and validate forensic analytical methods. The following analysis were used in this study: preliminary observation and test, color, pH, sieving, mechanical analysis, density gradient, X-ray diffraction and Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM).  It was found that all these analysis but pH which yielded similar results for most of them were able to differenciate samples from both areas. It is recommended that the methods here described be analyzed as a set so they yield good results in the forensic field. It is also suggested they be applied in the following order: color, pH, density and mineralogic analysis.
