(Texto tomado de la fuente).Colombia is one of the most unequal countries in the world, which, according to the empirical economic literature, affects its economic growth. However, it is also one of the countries that redistributes income the least, so its inequality remains one of the highest after collecting taxes and making transfers. The objective of this research is to determine if inequality and redistribution have simultaneously affected Colombian economic growth. For this, a data panel is used with five-year information from Colombia and 17 other Latin American countries for the period 1985-2015, and estimates are made with the Difference GMM and System GMM estimators. The results provide evidence that inequality is a relevant factor for Colombian economic growth, the effect of which tends to be negative; while it is not conclusive regarding the effect of redistribution. Equality and redistribution: key determinants for economic growth in Colombia?Trabajo de grado - Maestríainfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersionTexthttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TMColombiahttp://vocab.getty.edu/page/tgn/1000050Aghion, P., Caroli, E., & Garcia-Peñalosa.
