Description
Summary:This article traces some testimonies emerged from commissions of truth in Peru and their implications regarding women and war. It examines what “gender sensitive” research strategies mean as well as ways in which commissions of truth have incorporated them within their labor. Truth and memory are categories that are in fact permeated by gender, not necessarily in the way that common sense would suggest. Therefore, the text aims at offering a more detailed understanding of war dimensions while associated to gender.
