Summary: | The metropolitan condition is a visible phenomenon nowadays. The understanding of such condition is necessary to allow other processes such as the projection of the urban structure, the task of collective spaces networks and urban equipment and the definition of the scale for metropolitan architecture. This article approaches to the conceptual and theoretical aspects of the metropolitan condition and its inherent elements as a source for the exposition of a projective plan for Bosa, a Bogota city zone, where the norms of the Bogota’s Territory Ordering Plan –POT - have been applied, and have exposed cracks in its formulation; it has also revealed new requirements that need to be reviewed and been taken in account for the following urban projects of this scale. It also explores different ways to confront the city intervention beginning from the status of urban equipment; beyond plain building construction to propose the construction of articulated urban spaces, rescuing the values of present social and spatial networks and raising a project to affect the urban structure and consolidation process of the public condition, for witch it suggests three new dimensions of urban project: the structural, the operative and the urban-architectonic stages. |
