After contextualizing addresses the urban with the dynamics of conflict in the national and regional levels. Once practiced the two-way travel between city conflict and discusses a first look at the uniqueness of urban violent conflict in Colombia. Finally, in the epilogue, versus multiple narrowings of the city which is the subject, we suggest the notion of violent conflict as a kind of antidote to the reduction and oblivion.Este artículo aborda el tema de la Ciudad para evidenciar su singularidad como productora de violencias y su conexión con las dinámicas del conflicto. En su primera parte, el texto visualiza la creciente urbanización de la que es objeto hoy Colombia, haciendo notar la magnitud de sus violencias. Luego se enfrentan los vínculos entre conflicto armado y ciudad. Después se aborda la contextualización de lo urbano con las dinámicas de los conflictos en lo nacional y lo regional. Una vez practicado el recorrido de doble vía entre conflicto y ciudad se analiza una primera imagen de la singularidad del conflicto violento urbano en Colombia.
