The spin coater permits a wide speed range (from 500 to 10,000 rpm), and the velocity range of the dip coater stretches (from 0.6 cm/h to 30 cm/min). The operational parameters of these instruments compare favorably with commercial models.Se ha desarrollado un nuevo método para la construcción dedispositivos de spin coater y dip coater incorporando componentesmecánicos económicos y con software de plataforma abierto. Ambosdispositivos se utilizan para la deposición de películas delgadas, yse pueden construir con el conocimiento interdisciplinario de lafísica, la mecánica y la electrónica a nivel de pregrado.
