Born to a Uitoto mother and a Cocama father, Santiago followed, not knowingly, the steps of Fídoma, the hero of the Aymenu clan oral history who brought color to all the being of the forest. Santiago, also brought color to its sounds.De niño travieso a pintor de sonidos, el testimonio de Santiago Yahuarcani conmueve por su sentido del humor y su inusitado recorrido. Sus experimentos infantiles solitarios con unos hongos que encontraba en el camino a la chacra de su madre, le sirvieron, años más tarde, de fuente de inspiración para crear nuevas figuras y sustentar a sus propios hijos con la venta de su arte. Nacido con madre uitoto y padre cocama, Santiago siguió, sin saberlo, los pasos de Fídoma, el héroe de la historia oral del clan Aymenu que coloreó todos los seres de la selva.
