The research purpose was to explore the relationship between the perception and understanding of action verbs, visuospatial terms in people with and without vertigo between 50 and 80 years of age. The sample consisted of 12 participants; they were evaluated with the Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI), Videoelectronystagmography, the video-assisted head impulse test (Vhit), the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and the neuropsychological tests of Neuronorma Colombia. They performed four tasks with verbs and visuospatial terms on the EyeTracker Tobii Tx300 visual tracking device. The results were analyzed in the SPSS 21 program, by means of comparisons of means, correlations between variables in relation to gender, age, education, deviations, U MannWhitney, Wilcoxon rank test and linear regression of successive steps. It was concluded: The relationship between movement signal processing and executive functions in people with vertigo showed greater use of attentional and cognitive resources with differences in processing time. Corporeity is based on experience and generates representations, people with vertigo are affected by the input received during the acute period, interfering with the visuospatial and linguistic perception in relation to movement. There are cognitive differences in information processing in people with vertigo in the domains of memory, attention, visuospatial skills and executive functions. The emotional aspect of people with vertigo should be measured with anxiety and depression scales to establish a direct relationship with dizzimess.
