A rite of initiation in one of these gangs is also analyzed in terms of totemism, and this leads to an examination of the father-function which here appears as an obscene and ferocious figure that instigates murder.Este artículo aplica los axiomas freudianos de la psicología de los grupos, a la constitución, funcionamiento y disolución de las bandas de sicarios. El mecanismo psíquico primordial en este proceso es la identificación con el líder, los sujetos sustituyen el propio ideal del yo por esta figura tiránica y la sumisión a las normas grupales es lo que de esta identificación resulta.
