Summary: | Market ecconomies have been using science and research as a main production factor, mediated by technology. The changes in world-wide economy that appeared in the eigthies have origirmted disart-iculat-ions in countries that ordinary supply raw materials (in general, developing countries), and have been left out on their own possibilities to compete in the intemational market with their ad vantages, which are no longer in the primary sector nor based on cheap labor force, but with technological based products. This new stage has had an impact of reducing theimportance of laborinthe industrial production process, getting vertical manufacturing integration inside the firm by means of use of electronic and computers, allowing larger integration of the production process: starting with design (Computer Aided Design - CAD), all the way through Computer Integrated Manufacturing - CIM, and even doing the storage of finished goods. All these things are happening because of the displacement of labor. This new transformation is replacing the irnportance of commercial activities in favor of capital mobility as the main force of world-wide economy. A question appears:What has originated the changes? The newest industrial revolution has promoted them, and has determinated economical, political, social, and institutional changes. This technological avalanche has reqiriered new professionals with new knowledge and The present article in the first section stands out the changes ocurred in world-wide economy from a technological perspective. The second section, presents a summary of advanced technologies, concluding with a novel country specialization supported on their informatic development, pointingoutthe importance for countries of given participation in the benefits of sharpen up technologies in their industrial structures. |
