Método: Un Estudio Descriptivo de corte transversal analítico se realizó con la revisión de Bases de datos de historias clínicas de pacientes entre 0-15 años con diagnóstico de estenosis subglótica llevados a manejo con (DD) entre 2009 - 2018 y un grupo con (DS) entre 2019 y 2022. Se describen las características demográficas y porcentaje de fallo terapéutico definido como requerimiento de más de 5 dilataciones, traqueostomía o Reconstrucción Laringotraqueal (RLT) en cada uno de los grupos . Resultados: Se reportan 140 pacientes en el grupo (DD) con una mediana de 38.5 ( RIC 2852) días entre dilataciones y 50 pacientes en el grupo (DS) con una mediana de 27.5 Días (RIC : 440) entre dilataciones. Se encontró un requerimiento de más de 5 dilataciones de 17% respecto a 0%, requerimiento de traqueostomía de 29.7% respecto a 22 %, requerimiento de RLT de 8.6% respecto a 4% en los grupos DD y DS respectivamente. El uso de mitomicina y triamcinolona aumentó del 88.3 y 75.6% al 90.9 y 89.6% respectivamente entre DD y DS Conclusión: Las dilataciones endoscópicas seriadas (DS) respecto a diferidas (DD) se asocian con una menor tasa de requerimiento de más de 5 dilataciones, Traqueostomía ó RLT. En los últimos años el grupo de trabajo del Hospital de la Misericordia HOMI ha aumentado el uso de Triamcinolona y mitomicina durante el procedimiento demostrando su seguridad en pacientes pediátricos y su asociación con mejores desenlaces. Method: An analytical cross-sectional Descriptive Study was carried out with the review of databases of clinical records of patients between 0-15 years with a diagnosis of subglottic stenosis brought to management with (DD) between 2009 - 2018 and a group with (SD) between 2019 and 2022.
