El Zaguán que está entre dos límites, se desarrolla en el espacio por medio de la conjunción de elementos formales y funciónales, dentro del cual se conjuntan circunstancias que determinan una naturaleza duple. ¿Es un afuera o un adentro? donde sus partes conforman una relación ambivalente de límite entre el exterior e interior. Es el Zaguán, cuya función es la de corresponder sus diferentes partes y actividades, que hacen que se configure el edificio. El trabajo se elabora con un enfoque desde el punto de vista en la caracterización y estudio de los zaguanes del mundo hispanoamericano y espacios análogos en arquitecturas contemporáneas. Se diseña la estructura dentro de un edificio de uso mixto asociado a los conceptos antes mencionados. Con la estructura autónoma y continua se pretende proponer un instrumento estructurante para la organización de los espacios y redefinir el zaguán como espacio de interés.
