This type of impact has been studied in the manufacturing sector, finding a positive but indirect effect; however, there are no investigations that have focused their analysis on the services sector. With the information available in the Service Sector Technological Development and Innovation Survey -EDITS and the Annual Services Survey -EAS, for the period 2010-2017 and using as a basis the theoretical formulation of the evolutionary school firm, Probit and Data Panel models are used to relate those variables in which the policies of STI and the productivity of labor of the companies affect. The results show that the effect of these policies is positive for those firms that develop product innovation processes, achieving a better performance in terms of labor productivity in companies in the service sector.Este trabajo presenta un análisis de los efectos de la implementación de instrumentos de política de Ciencia Tecnología e Innovación – CTeI, específicamente financiación pública directa, en el desempeño empresarial del sector servicios en Colombia. Se ha estudiado este tipo de impacto en el sector de las industrias de manufactura, encontrando un efecto positivo, pero de forma indirecta. Sin embargo, no hay evidencia de investigaciones que hayan centrado su análisis en el sector servicios para el caso colombiano. Con la información disponible en la Encuesta de Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica Sector Servicios -EDITS y la Encuesta Anual de Servicios -EAS-, para el periodo 2010-2017 y utilizando como base la formulación teórica de la firma, de la escuela evolucionista se utilizaron modelos Probit y Panel de Datos para relacionar aquellas variables que inciden en la productividad laboral a nivel de firma, a partir de las políticas de CTeI. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que el efecto de estas políticas es positivo para aquellas firmas que adelantan procesos de innovación de productos, logrando un mejor desempeño en términos de productividad laboral en las empresas del sector servicios.
