(Texto tomado de la fuente)Introduction: Basic care focuses on the person's essential needs to ensure their physical and psychosocial well-being. These are met through developing a positive and trusting relationship with the person being cared for, their family members, or their caregivers. Despite advances in patient-centered care, healthcare systems maintain significant challenges in their care. For this reason, knowing the elements that make such care becomes peremptory. As a pioneer in ensuring safe, affordable, and respectful care for patients, it must begin by ensuring that fundamental care is delivered correctly since failures in care can affect safety when there are falls, infections, pressure injuries, and injuries associated with the use of medical devices, readmissions, among others, and in more complex cases, complications, or death. Objective: To determine the relationship between basic nursing care's physical, psychosocial, and relational dimensions. Methodology: Cross-sectional descriptive correlational quantitative approach study. Participants: over 18 years of age, receiving nursing care, met the inclusion criteria. Valid instruments were used for data collection and measurement of physical (checklist based on a standardized basic care plan), psychosocial (humanized care perception instrument), and relational (individualized care scale) aspects. Ethical guidelines for clinical research at national and international levels were established; institutional and participants' ethical guarantees were established. Results: Description of the physical, psychosocial, and relational dimensions of basic nursing care. Relationship between physical, psychosocial and relational dimensions. Conclusions and recommendations: Despite significant improvements for more compassionate and patient-centered care, situations such as the lack of knowledge of what basic nursing care refers to generate an evident need.Doctoradoxx, 179 páginasapplication/pdfspa610 - Medicina y saludEnfermería y pacienteAtención al enfermoNurse and patientNurse-patient relationsCare of the sickCuidado de enfermeríaCuidado básico de enfermeríaFundamentos del cuidado de enfermeríaInvestigación en enfermeríaTeoría de enfermeríaNursing careBasic nursing careFundamentals of nursing careNursing researchNursing theoryCuidado básico de enfermería: relación entre las dimensiones física, psicosocial y relacionalBasic Nursing Care: the relationship between physical, psychosocial, and relational dimensionsTrabajo de grado - Doctoradoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersionhttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_db06DataPaperhttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TDBogotá - Enfermería - Doctorado en EnfermeríaFacultad de EnfermeríaBogotá,ColombiaUniversidad Nacional de Colombia - Sede BogotáCuevas VMC.
