This article presents the conceptual and methodological frameworks built specifically for this research under the parameters of a comparative methodology. Here we present the problem and the research approach, the proposed typology for comparing local orders in the conflict and the procedure for possible explanations of local trajectories in the framework of the typology. Finally, we present the comparative results obtained from this methodology and the prospects that this experience left open for future research are presented.Hemos adelantado una investigación que se pregunta por cómo se reconfiguran los órdenes locales en los territorios de mayor confrontación armada en Colombia y por las posibles razones subyacentes a tal reconfiguración, entre 1991 y 2010. Este artículo presenta los marcos conceptuales y metodológicos construidos específicamente para realizar dicha investigación bajo los parámetros de una metodología comparativa. Presentamos entonces el problema y el enfoque de la investigación, la tipología propuesta para la comparación de los órdenes locales en medio del conflicto y el procedimiento utilizado para obtener posibles explicaciones acerca de las trayectorias locales en el marco de la tipología.
