The articlehighlights the resources contributedby psychoanalysis, artistic creation,and, especially, the legitimizingefforts of justice to palliate theiatrogenic effects of indifference.L’indifférence comme réponse àdes situations d’horreur provoquéespar la guerre acquiert divers fonctions:autant indicateur de l’abrinécessaire pour donner suite autraumatique des événements quefaçon de démentir la responsabilitéde ceux-ci; bien pour devenirun instrument sinistre du pouvoirdestinée à garantir l’efficacité deceux qui exercent la violence, bienpour neutraliser les réponses del’entourage social et de marginaliserles réactions possibles des victimes.Les recours offerts par la psychanalyse,par la création fictionnellede l’art et particulièrement par lesefforts de légitimation de la justicepour pallier les effets iatrogéniquesde l’indifférence, sont mis en valeur.La indiferencia como respuestaante las situaciones de horror queprovoca la guerra llega a adquirirdiferentes funciones. Puede ser unindicador del resguardo necesariopara tramitar lo traumático de losacontecimientos, también un modode desmentir la responsabilidad deestos o bien ser un instrumentosiniestro de poder destinado agarantizar la eficacia de quienesejercen la violencia, neutralizar lasrespuestas del medio social y marginarlas reacciones posibles de lasvíctimas.
