(Texto tomado de la fuente)This research finds the study of franchise networks a favorable field to contribute to the improvement of the environmental effects of human production and consumption. The analysis focuses on the effect of the governance mechanisms present in the franchisor-franchisee relationship on environmental sustainability and an agent-based simulation model is performed to understand the phenomenon. This model simulates a fitness landscape determined by the interdependencies (K) of environmental practices (N) for different types of franchises, classified according to the degree of implementation of these practices. Thus, lagging, following, and leading franchises each configures a fitness landscape, wherein a framework is defined by the configuration of formal and informal governance mechanisms, and four modes of governance are determined (trust, relational network, leadership, and formal government). With this model, we want to find out under which modes of governance a greater capacity for exploration is developed, where the local decisions of the franchisees influence the use of environmental practices. After conducting semi-structured interviews, developing the model, and running the simulations for each governance mode, it was found that in governance modes where both types of mechanisms are combined, the exploration capacity is greater, allowing franchisees to explore and incorporate the use of best practices. environmental in the franchise network.DoctoradoDoctor en IngenieríaIndustria y Organizacionesxx, 177 páginasapplication/pdfspaUniversidad Nacional de ColombiaBogotá - Ingeniería - Doctorado en Ingeniería - Industria y OrganizacionesFacultad de IngenieríaBogotá, ColombiaUniversidad Nacional de Colombia - Sede Bogotá620 - Ingeniería y operaciones afines::629 - Otras ramas de la ingeniería330 - Economía::333 - Economía de la tierra y de la energíaAnálisis del impacto ambiental - Política gubernamentalEconomía ambientalEnvironmental impact analysis - Government policyEnvironmental economicsSistemas de gobernanzaProducción sostenibleGovernance systemsSustainable productionFranquicias (Comercio minorista) - Aspectos ambientalesFranchises (retail trade) - Environmental aspectsFranquiciasMecanismos de gobernanzaPrácticas ambientalesModelo NKComplejidadFranchisesGovernance MechanismsGreen PracticesNK ModelComplexitySostenibilidad ambiental de la cadena de suministro de la franquicia: un modelo basado en agentes para el análisis de la influencia de los mecanismos de gobernanza en la adopción de prácticas verdesEnvironmental sustainability of the franchise supply chain: An agent-based model for analyzing the influence of governance mechanisms on the adoption of green practicesTrabajo de grado - Doctoradoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersionhttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_db06Texthttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TDAgrawal, A., Brown, D.
