Leticia, esa trifrontera combinada de turistas, antropólogos, biólogos, comerciantes, variedades de etnias indígenas, frutas y animales exóticos; pescado, mucho pescado, motores con llantas y motores de río; drogas prohibidas y alucinógenos permitidos, plantas sagradas, masato, cachaza, tucupi, fariña, almidón, mambe, ambíl y rapé; chontaduro, aguaje, madroña, uva caimarona y asaí; gusanos que se comen asados o moquiados y que les dicen “mojojoy”, peces gigantes como el paco, la gamitana o el pirarucú; palosangre, peine de mico, chambira, totumo y yanchama y un río tan colosal que parece fundirse con la selva infinita. Allí se aprende a vivir entre la selva colonizada y la ciudad con afán de “civilizarse”. Una ciudad que le da la espalda al río y la bienvenida a las alas de metal ¡Retiñendo las fisuras, se hace visible el hueco, y el intento por arreglar ese vacío es el punto donde las voluntades más profundas remueven un mundo para crear otro!. / Abstract.
