Summary:In the text we will see two methodologies of operations research; Analytic Hierachy Process; AHP and Goal Programming, used to generate an optimization model in the distribution of budgetary resources of the tourism unit of the Municipality of Villamar a Caldas for the year 2019, with the corresponding projections for 2020, and the contrast with what actually happened. in the current year. The indicators of decline in the sector due to the Covid-19 pandemic are documented and a compilation of recommendations is made to overcome the crisis.The tourism unit of the Municipality of Villamar a, is a dependency of the mayor's o ce in charge of the administration and coordination of the provision of the tourist service, which promotes the dissemination of plans, accommodations, routes, restaurants, and other attractions in the area; in search of the recognition of the natural and cultural heritage of the region at national and international level, and the sustainability and economic growth of the inhabitants.
