Objective Describe the changes in the lumbar fascial system after a myofascial release session in a person with nonspecific low back pain. Methodology The thesis develops a case analysis with a participant with non-specific low back pain in which a myofascial release session was performed and the pain categories, lumbar range of motion, sliding of the fascial layers were evaluated through ultrasound as a physiological biomarker, electromyography through the flexion-relaxation phenomenon as an indirect measure of connective tissue overload. Results The results show an analysis of the participant's sociodemographic factors on pain and the fascial system, decreased pain, increased lumbar range of motion, increased sliding of the fascial layers, and an analysis of electromyography important for future studies. Conclusión This research described the changes in the fascial tissue in a person with DLI before and after the intervention with myofascial release, finding an increase in the sliding of the fascial layers, becoming a physiological measure that explains the rearrangement of collagen and an increase in rehydration of the extracellular matrix, which improves the functioning of the fascial system.
