Summary: | Densities of aqueous solutions of 3-amino-1-propanol, 2-amino-1-propanol,3-amino-1,2-propanediol, and 1,3-diamino-2-propanol were measured at 298.15K using the vibrating tube technique. Theapparent molar volumes of the alkanolamineswere determined as a function ofcomposition from experimental data andthe solute limiting partial molar volumewas obtained through extrapolation. The results are discussed in terms of theeffect of the number and the position ofpolar groups in the molecules. |
