To do so, a review of the state-of-the-art of commonly used procedures to generate on chip entangled photons, finding that, there are efforts to discover new materials to use as a quantum integrated photonic platform, while also the devices and pump pulses to do so are being heavily investigated. Under this understanding, the proposition of new materials and the engineering of the input pulse are realized, with its feasibility tested by numerical simulations and experimental approaches. (Tomado de la fuente)En esta tesis de maestría, la ingeniería de material y pulso para la mejora de la interacción luz-materia con miras al incremento en la eficiencia en la generación de fotones entrelazados en chip es propuesta. Para realizar esto, fue realizada una cuidadosa revisión del estado del arte de procedimientos comunes para realizar la generación de fotones entrelazados en chip, encontrando que hay grandes esfuerzos en encontrar nuevas plataformas materiales para usarse como plataformas de fotónica cuántica integrada. Además, los dispositivos fotónicos y los pulsos de excitación también están siendo fuertemente investigados. Teniendo esto en cuenta, la proposición de nuevos materiales y la ingeniería del pulso de excitación es realizada.
