(Texto tomado de la fuente)Objective: To explore and identify the multidimensional needs of people with dementia, their caregivers and the network of health professionals. Method: Exploratory sequential mixed methods design. Colombian population, from distinct territories, insurance regime, alphabets, with availability and access to the internet and a connection device. Two phases were carried out, a quantitative one, made up of people with dementia (N:28), and caregivers (N:208), and a qualitative one with 88 people (N:49 caregivers and N:39 professionals). The quantitative information was analyzed with R software® and the analytical hierarchy method was also used; the qualitative information was analyzed with the Maxqda® and Coheris Analytics SPAD® software. Results: From the six needs explored, a set of ten needs reported by the participants emerged (training, care and access to health, mobility, locative and environmental risks, legal-occupational-labour, patrimonial, psychological and behavioral, sociocultural, respite and beliefs and values), which are interpreted in the light of social determinants and the spheres of recognition postulated by Axel Honneth. Likewise, it is evident that the needs, although they are the same in the participating territories, their experience is dissimilar, due to the differences related to the needs of care and access to health, training, locative and environmental risks, mobility, psychological and behavioral. ; being also notorious those related to legal-occupational-labour, patrimonial, sociocultural, respite and beliefs and values needs. Conclusions: The identification of multidimensional needs must be the first step for the formulation of public policies, and these must recognize and be sensitive to the territories, the experiences of people with dementia, the caregivers and the network of professionals who, situated in a specific context. They seek recognition related to care, social value, needs and rights.
