(Texto tomado de la fuente)In recent years, modern societies have become more aware of "natural" treatments, which has promoted the development of new products from natural sources and the cosmetic industry has been no stranger to this. The use of biocompounds in cosmetic formulationshas led to the emergence of the so-called "biocosmetics", a term that encompasses two groups of particular importance: cosmeceuticals and nutricosmeceuticals. The traditional and most studied source for the search of bioactives are plants, however the use of this natural resource has limitations such as slow growth and appreciable variation in the content and class of its bioactives, a particularity not desired in the production of biocosmetics. Macrofungi biosynthesize similar compounds and in some occasions, structurally different to those coming from plants and it is this little exploited natural source that can be positioned as a promising alternative for obtaining bioactives. It has the advantage that they can be cultivated quickly and in a profitable way, through the application of biotechnological processes such as Liquid State Fermentation, becoming a more sustainable option. The objective of this monograph is the exhaustive compilation of information that provides an updated vision of the use of natural products as ingredients in the formulation of biocosmetics and evidences the potential that macrofungi exhibit in this field. This review will become the theoretical support for the creation of a new line of research in the Chemistry of Colombian Macromycetes Fungi group.MaestríaMagister en ciencias quimicasapplication/pdfspa540 - Química y ciencias afinesCosmeceuticoNutricosmeceuticoMacromicetosFermentación en estado liquidoNutricosmeceuticCosmeceuticmacromycetesliquid state fermentationHongos Macromicetos: biofábricas alternativas de compuestos con potencial de aplicación en cosmecéutica y nutricosmecéuticaMacromycetes fungi: alternative biofactories of compounds with potential application in cosmeceuticals and nutricosmeceuticalsTrabajo de grado - MaestríaTexthttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TMBogotá - Ciencias - Maestría en Ciencias - QuímicaDepartamento de QuímicaFacultad de CienciasUniversidad Nacional de Colombia - Sede BogotáAbd Razak, D.
