(Tomado de la fuente)Resilience enables the production chain to prepare for, respond to and recover from unexpected disruptive events, maintaining continuity of operations at desired levels and reducing the likelihood of disruption. It is now recognized that resilience integrates a set of capabilities such as: flexibility, collaboration, adaptability, visibility, resourcefulness, and speed that make it a dynamic super capability. However, studying how resilient an agrifood supply chain can be becoming complex due to its intrinsic characteristics: climate, perishability, seasonality, supply peaks and long supply lead times. These characteristics generate the need for a probabilistic analysis of the occurrence of possible interruptions, which has been supplied in this research work with the development of a two-stage stochastic linear optimization model. The proposed model was validated in the Hass avocado production chain in the municipality of San Vicente de Ferrer in eastern Antioquia, allowing the recreation of interruption scenarios. Through the simulation it can be concluded that the logistic strategies that optimize the cost of the Hass avocado production chain in the face of the materialization of possible risks are backup supply, moderation of the probability of interruption and change of marketer, which are associated with the subcapabilities of resilience: resourcefulness, agility and speed, i.e., the avocado has chain must possess these sub-capabilities (resourcefulness, agility and speed) to be resilient and face disruptions in an agile and efficient way, minimizing its operational costs. On the other hand, a company dedicated to the agricultural industry could use this data to detect early mitigation strategies in the face of potential disturbances. In addition, companies could implement scenario-based planning strategies to assess the impact of various risks related to different events.
