These spatial expressions do not disappear with changes in the border, but cause changes in the ways they are symbolized in the territory.La frontera es más que un límite. Sin embargo, en los estudios sobre ellas éste no se puede desdibujar. Este artículo muestra cómo los límites que dividen las poblaciones de Leticia (Colombia) y Tabatinga (Brasil) son fruto de la relación entre estas dos ciudades con la frontera, relación que espacialmente se expresa mediante mecanismos simbólicos que manifiestan las diferencias entre los dos estados.
