The Departmental Innovation Index for Colombia - IDIC is an exercise to measure the conditions that promote or restrict innovation in the country, whose methodological structure has been adapted from the Global Innovation Index - GII. However, taking as a reference the study developed by Sohn, Kim, & Jeon (2015), these indexes may omit possible structural relationships between the factors involved in the innovative performance of the departments. In this degree work, a structural equation model (SEM) is proposed by applying the partial least squares (PLS) method. Using the empirical data of the IDIC 2019, it was found that the constructs of institutions and human capital and research have a relationship (direct and indirect) with most of the IDIC pillars, so that the targeting of public policy interventions on these factors has a multiplier effect in strengthening the innovative ecosystem of the Colombian departments.Incluye anexosMaestríaMagíster en Ciencias Económicasiv, 48 páginasapplication/pdfspaUniversidad Nacional de ColombiaBogotá - Ciencias Económicas - Maestría en Ciencias EconómicasEscuela de EconomíaFacultad de Ciencias EconómicasBogotá, ColombiaUniversidad Nacional de Colombia - Sede Bogotá330 - EconomíaRegional policyPublic administrationPolítica regionalAdministración públicaModelo de ecuaciones estructuralesÍndice Departamental de InnovaciónCapacidades de innovación departamentalStructural equation modelDepartmental Innovation IndexDepartmental innovation capabilitiesComportamiento innovadorInnovation behaviourInsumos y resultados de innovación: Un análisis estructural del Índice Departamental de Innovación para Colombia 2019Innovation inputs and outputs: A structural analysis of the Departmental Index of Innovation Index for Colombia 2019Trabajo de grado - Maestríainfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersionTexthttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TMAbubakar, A., Kassim, S.
