Materials and methods: The research isdescriptive, transversal and non-experimental. The universe of studywas 912 models and sample of 506 models that met the inclusioncriteria. We used a digital gauge brand Mitutoyo, data were tabulatedand statistics took place in the program SPSS version 18. Descriptivestatistics was calculated and the results were compared withStudent's t test. Results: T he analysis of Moyers is not e ffective foruse in Nayarit, the 75th percentile can only be used in the mandible,the adjustment of Moyers analysis for the population of Nayarit waseffective to the 50 percentile, with the 75th percentile is not effectivefor predicting the size of canines and premolars. Conclusions: Theanalysis of Moyers is not effective for use in the population of Nayarit.The adjustment to the 50 percentile is effective for predict themesiodistal size of canines and premolars of Nayarit. |

El análisis dedentición mixta de Moyers es muy utilizado para el diagnósticode las maloclusiones. Objetivo: evaluar el análisis de denticiónmixta de Moyers sin división de género, y de no ser efectivarealizar los ajustes para ser utilizada en la población de Nayarit.Materiales y métodos: la investigación es descriptiva, transversaly no experimental. El universo de estudio fue de 912 modelos y lamuestra de 506 modelos que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión.Se utilizó un calibrador digital de marca Mitutoyo, los datos setabularon y se realizó la estadística en el programa SPSS versión 18.Se calculó la estadística descriptiva y los resultados se compararoncon la prueba de t de Student. Resultados: el análisis de Moyers noes efectivo para utilizarse en Nayarit, solamente se puede utilizarel percentil 75 en la mandíbula, el ajuste del análisis de Moyers parala población de Nayarit fue efectivo al percentil 50, con el percentil75 no es efectivo para predecir el tamaño de caninos y premolares.Conclusiones: el análisis de Moyers no es efectivo para utilizarseen la población de Nayarit.
