La teoría del inventario se inicia con las leyes de la oferta y la demanda. Si estas fueran constantes y continuas no seria necesario el almacenamiento, puesto que del producto final, los productos irían inmediatamente al consumidor final. Ante esta realidad cualquier tipo de producto, en alguna de sus fases de producción — venta debe ser almacenado. ¿Pero, como saber que cantidad mantener en inventario? ¿Qué costos representa esta política?. Desde su fundación Extrucol S.A se ha caracterizado por el liderazgo en cuanto a la calidad de sus productos, hecho que le amerita la importación de la materia prima. De ese modo se presenta para la empresa la incertidumbre frente a la compra de la resina debido a la volatilidad en los precios, es por esta razón que se hace necesario la determinación de un punto optimo en cuanto a todos los componentes del manejo de inventarios-Lo anterior constituye el punto de partida de mi investigación con la que pretendo disminuir las posibles perdidas por manejo de excedentes O faltantes y por ende de valor. |
