De los ecosistemas de innovación social se puede señalar que estos evolucionan a partir de una intención de algunos actores cercanos a una comunidad o territorio que, junto con sus habitantes, acuerdan promover alianzas para el desarrollo y mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de ellos mismos. Además, que para que la evolución del ecosistema de innovación social responda satisfactoriamente con ese objetivo principal de desarrollo y mejoramiento de calidad de vida, se requiere que: (i) el ecosistema genere sus propios elementos constitutivos y establezca las interrelaciones funcionales entre los elementos con el fin de garantizar su funcionamiento, (ii) que el ecosistema configure y ponga en funcionamiento modelos organizacionales y de gobernanza adaptados al contexto en el que trabajan con el fin de facilitar la gestión del proceso de desarrollo comunitario o territorial y finalmente, que (iii) los actores involucrados con la evolución del ecosistema ayuden a propiciar las condiciones de contexto necesarias para que el funcionamiento del mecanismo sea satisfactorio en el mediano y largo plazo. |
