description La cefalea post punción dural es la complicación más frecuente en anestesia raquídea, factores modificables y no modificables determinan la incidencia de la enfermedad, ocasionando morbilidad postquirúrgica; es por ello que conocer los factores de riesgo es tan importante ya que nos permitiría identificar cuáles pacientes tendrían una alta probabilidad de desarrollar la enfermedad y por ende utilizar tratamientos profilácticos. El siguiente protocolo de investigación pretende establecer la relación entre índice de masa corporal y la cefalea post punción dural, comparando un grupo de bajo peso con uno de peso normal de forma prospectiva; ya que la literatura actual no hay estudios concluyentes y la relevancia es incierta.
