El presente será un estudio de reproducibilidad de dos determinaciones del índice tobillo-brazo (ITB) cuando las condiciones en que se mide la PAS varían experimentalmente. Los participantes serán sujetos asintomáticos para ECV sin enfermedad aguda, seleccionados de la población del proyecto CHICAMOCHA (Grupo de Cardiología Preventiva) en una proporción de 1:4 con relación a su serología positiva o negativa para Trypanosoma cruzi, respectivamente. Se estableció a priori para el ITB que una diferencia clínicamente significativa sería mayor al 5% de la media del ITB en la población del proyecto asintomática par ECV (0.99 +- 0.12) y se calculó un tamaño de muestra de 160 sujetos, el cual permite confirmar la ausencia de diferencias en el ITB para las diferentes condiciones experimentales con un poder del 95% a un nivel de significancia del 5%. |

The participants will be asymptomatic subjects for CVD without acute disease, selected from the population of the CHICAMOCHA project (Preventive Cardiology Group) in a ratio of 1:4 in relation to their positive or negative serology for Trypanosoma cruzi, respectively.
