BIBLIOGRAFÍAPregradoThe COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on global mental health, with a notable increase in disorders such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress. This research employed a systemic dynamic modeling approach, integrating mental health variables into an SEIR epidemiological model to analyze the relationship between the rise in COVID-19 deaths and the incidence of mental illnesses. The model revealed that a higher number of fatalities leads to an increased prevalence of mental health issues due to associated stress and grief. Despite isolation measures, the psychological care capacity proves inadequate in both simulated scenarios, emphasizing the need to enhance resources for short- and long-term mental health prevention and care. The importance of promoting self-care strategies, strengthening social support networks, and increasing government investment in mental health services is highlighted. This dynamic model provides an in-depth understanding of the interplay between epidemiological and psychosocial variables, suggesting future research directions focusing on social determinants, demographic differences, and the effectiveness of specific interventions.Modalidad Presencialapplication/pdfspahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/co/Abierto (Texto Completo)Atribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 2.5 Colombiahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Estudio dinámico sistémico acerca del aumento en la incidencia de las enfermedades de salud mental consecuencia de la pandemia Covid19Systemic dynamic study about the increase in the incidence of mental health diseases as a result of the Covid19 pandemicIngeniero de SistemasUniversidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga UNABFacultad IngenieríaPregrado Ingeniería de Sistemasinfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisTrabajo de Gradohttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1finfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersionhttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TPSystems engineerTechnological innovationsMental HealthEpidemiological ModelsSystem DynamicsSimulation methodsMathematical modelsPublic healthModel constructionIngeniería de sistemasInnovaciones tecnológicasMétodos de simulaciónModelos matemáticosSalud públicaConstrucción de modelosSalud mentalCOVID-19PandemiaModelos epidemiológicosDinámica de sistemasSimulaciónAbbas, K., Procter, S., & Mannion, R.
